How to find a good deal on an LCD TV
Are you in the market for a new LCD television but have a limited budget? Well worry no more, there’s no need to pay full retail prices when the store next door is willing to slash the price! Prices have dropped since these amazing gadgets have hit the markets, but you are still looking at $1000’s of dollars, an amount that most people just can’t afford.
So, what do you do? You shop around until you find the cheapest price possible; here are some options…
Keep your eyes & ears open for a clearance sale
Clearance sales are great opportunities to find your dream LCD TV at a fraction of other retailer’s prices. Clearance merchandise that has never been used or bought by anyone else; typically it’s the manufacturers trying to clear out the older model to make room for the new ones. Often times there are no changes in the products specs other than esthetics, so the TV will perform just as well. It’s a great bargain.
Online & Offline discount stores
Depending on the store you chose, you will likely find anything from used LCD TVs, to overstock, to refurbished models. Try to shop around at a few stores before making the purchase & do some research as well. Look at the brand in the store, then go home & check reviews for the specific models. You always want to know ahead of time what you’re buying. As far as the deal goes you can expect 15%-50% off the retail price. Be careful when shopping online, make sure that the fabulous low price that you have found includes things like shipping, or you could be back to the retail pricing again.
Auction sites
Don’t be afraid to look at auction sites like eBay. There are often posts for LCD TVs at cheap auction prices. If you find a reputable seller and a TV that’s in good condition, then you could save thousands. Again, be careful when shopping online, learn to understand the lingo of auction sites & make sure that the site itself is reputable. You don’t want to get stuck with a scammer or an LCD TV that will only work for a few weeks.
You don’t always need the best
Forget the top name brands, yes, they are great buys & perform exceptionally well, but only if you have the money & can afford them. Since you’re looking for a cheap LCD TV right now, you’re better off to walk down the aisle a little bit until you come across the less expensive versions. The names may not be familiar to you, but chances are they will perform just as well.
Manufacturers
The last great piece of advice we have for you is, if you want a cheap LCD TV, go straight to the source. Most manufacturers offer refurbished units to walk in customers. The units have come in for repair & most often have all new parts inside. Referbs offered by manufacturers are generally more reliable then those sold by third parties & most often come with the full warranty. Plus, you are able to get the LCD TV of your choice at a very low price.
