Samsung 3D TVs lead the tv market. There is no doubt that Samsung is the global market in high tech electronics, manufacturing and digital media leader, after the first Samsung 3D TV set went on sale on UK about a month ago, it’s undeniable that Samsung has been setting the tv technology’s standard for others to follow.

Samsung have divided their 3D line-up into 3 series:

1. Samsung C9000 3D HD LED TV Series 9

The new flagship 9000 series is slimmer than any previous Samsung and even more beautiful than the very popular and award winning Samsung B8000 series ,with its design in silver metal and in black, the new edge-lit LED 3D support ensured the delivery of picture using a full color spectrum for an unbelievable, immersive viewing experience.

The C9000 series’ features include: True 3DTV, Internet@TV , Freeview HD, 200HZ Motion Plus and the most sexiest remote control. The C9000 also has a pedestal stand that transforms into a wall bracket allowing the C9000 to be less than 1cm thick.

The secret behind the ultra-thin frame of 8 mm is an Edge LED backlight, additionally Samsung’s clever engineers have incorporated some of the control electronics in the stand, which can be re-arranged when wall mounted.

Samsung’s new 9000 series will be able to display 3D content from 3D capable Blu-rays/ Sony PS3 and the newly launched 3DTV broadcasting in the UK, it will also be able to convert 2D content into 3D but expect this to be a short lived novelty.

Best Looking Remote Ever?

The new Apple Style remote for the C9000 series is on of the best looking remotes around. This beauty is touch sensitive and will function as an extra screen allowing you to watch TV while the kids watch Barney and friends on Blu Ray.

As with the 2009 series you will be able to browse your photo’s music and videos online using Samsung’s DLNA technology. Once you’ve found the vacation photos from last year on the extra screen on the remote, you can “beat the air” with the remote towards the TV and the content will now be displayed full screen on your TV.

Samsung C9000 series

The Samsung C9000 series uses 240 / 200 Hz technology (required for 3D), as well as Samsung’s Internet@TV. Internet@TV features a wide range of online services such as YouTube, Twitter, Facebook etc.

The other great news is the newly launched Samsung Apps store that should see different developers writing apps for your TV.

The Samsung C9000 series will initially be launched in 46-inches (UE46C9000) and 55 inches (UE55C9000) mid to end of 2010 with prices to be confirmed closer to the launch date.

2. Samsung C8000 3D HD LED TV Series 8

The Samsung C8000 series is not as slim as its big brother C9000 series but Samsung claims that even though the C8000 series has Edge LED technology, the R&D department have been able to utilize some of the advantages of the local dimming system. It’s hard to tell what Samsung means by this because local dimming technology is associated with Backlit LED Screens like the Sharp LE Series and the Sony Bravia X Series.

The C8000 series also supports 3D and converts 2D to 3D. It has a 240 / 200 Hz system, and Internet@TV, DLNA and Samsung Apps.

Samsung has also developed a new stand for the C8000 series, which consists of four legs in metal. The stand has been designed as a piece of furniture, according to Samsung.

Unfortunately the new remote is not included with the C8000 series, but will be available for purchase separately.

The C8000 series will be launched in 32″ (UE32C8000, only 100 Hz) 40″ (UE40C8000), 46″ (UE46C8000), 55″ (UE55C8000) and 65″ (UE65C8000). We are expecting stock to arrive in the second quarter of 2010.

3. Samsung C7000 3D HD LED TV Series 7

The new Mid Range Samsung LED’s will be arriving in the guise of the C7000 series and it features the same four legged stand as the C8000 series. The design is based on Samsung’s “Touch of Color” philosophy from the 2009 models and initial impressions from the pictures is that it is certainly a looker.

The Samsung C7000 series is slim as it also employs Edge-lit LED’s but without the so-called local dimming feature from the C8000 series.

The C7000 series also incorporates 3D and will be able to convert 2D to 3D. It incorporates a 200 Hz system, Internet@TV, DLNA and Samsung Apps as standard.
